Chromecastissues

Can't connect WiFi to Chromecast in bedroom anymore. Just stopped working. The one in my front room still works. Rebooted, unplugged, everything. There's just a lock symbol on my WiFi symbol in settings and just says can't connect. Had them both 3 years, do they ever just stop working ?

A few questions: when did the issue start? What type of Chromecast device do you have? Are there any changes in your Wi-Fi router settings?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Try to unplug one of your working Chromecast devices and plug in the one that you're having an issue with.
  2. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
  3. Swap the location of your Chromecast.
  4. Factory reset your Chromecast.
