So many people complain about the **bleep** battery life in your latest Chromecast but nothing from Google. Change the battery is not a **bleep**ing solution when they last 2 weeks

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Chances are, the motherboard of the remote itself is grounded. Try this workaround and let me know how it goes:

Thanks but it didn't work nor did factory reset. Batteries last no longer than 1 week so since I have 3 other Chromecasts and none of them have this issue, I just ordered a new remote for $20 so I can stop the madness.

Thanks for the reply. It may have been defective already. The Chromecast Support team can check the warranty of that remote. And if it’s already out of warranty, then buying a new remote is the right thing to do. Let us know if you still have questions.
