Hello everyone, I'm having this problem: after not using the CWGTV 4K overnight I try to turn it on but it does not. I touch it and it is really hot. Unplug & plug is the only option to make it responsive.
Device is up to date and so are the apps. Usage I give it us absolutely normal: Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Kids. With a maximum of two hours per day. Connection is wifi 5ghz. Room temperature also normal, 21°C.
Any ideas why this can be?
Thanks in advance.

Mine is cold, but I disabled the Ambient pictures mode and replaced the launcher to a less resource hungy one.
Simply power it down each night, it boots fast (much faster compared to Amazons 4K stick).

Hello Jeran, I would like to wait for more answers. I'm pretty sure I cannot be the only one with this issue. Also, I have two CCWGTV, and this happens only to one of them.
Please let's wait for more answers.
Thanks!

Hey there PeterHammer,
Of course! In this case, if the device is hot to the touch, you may want to look at talking to Chromecast Support about replacing the device, since that cannot be safe, and I don't want you getting burned. You can have them contact you by filling out this form, just let me know if/when you do.
Best regards,
Jeran

Hey there PeterHammer,
Thank you for filling out that form! You should have someone from Chromecast Support reach out to you via e-mail, so feel free to continue the conversation over there. It may take them a few days because of the holidays, but rest assured they'll get to you. Let us know if you have any more questions for us here on the forum, otherwise, I'll go ahead and lock the thread in 24 hours.
Best regards,
Jeran
