Google TV Ambient Mode

Trying to place ambient pictures on my Hisense google tv and now facing issues after performing a factory reset.

It says to go to the Google Home app and select the tv and press the gear icon but when I do, the following error appears: “problem connecting to cloud “ need help fixing this

Thanks for reaching out and for providing detailed information on your issue — these are of great help!
 

A few things: does your TV have a built-in Chromecast or a Chromecast plugged into it? If it’s a plugged in device which Chromecast model is it? What is its distance from your Wi-Fi router? Have you been experiencing any Wi-Fi outages recently? 

 

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your TV for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

Thank you for the reply!

TV has a built-in Chromecast. Router is 2 feet away from the TV. Personally, I have not experienced any WiFi outages. 

I performed a sequential reboot of both my TV and Route last night with a Google technician but no luck.

The rep suggested I try with an Android, however no one in my home owns one and I would like to have my case escalated.

Thanks for the details you provided and sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. Since you contacted our support team, I would suggest continuing the conversation there. They would have more tools than we would on the forum to look into this. Also, have you been able to reach out to Hisense regarding this issue to see if they are aware of any outages? Chromecast built-in is open-source software, so they are free to modify it as they see fit, and that could create any bugs or issues that only Hisense would be aware of.
