Help with Chromecast setup

I moved my TV to my office. I have a different network there. So I went in to set up the new network and it was giving me problems. So I deleted it from my home program. Then I went to reinstall. It gets to the point where is connected and ask what room and address and all that and then it says the device was set up by a different person before to factory reset the device. Well I've already deleted it so I can't go into the program and do a factory reset from the program. So I hit the reset button on the back of the device and it makes the light go from solid to blinking but it never changes colors it's always like a bluish white. So I've reset this thing five or six times with no luck. Somebody help?

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to get that Chromecast set up? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know these issues can be tricky sometimes. Now, while the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the side of the Chromecast. The LED should begin to blink orange. When the LED light turns white, release the button and the Chromecast should then restart. You mentioned you never saw it change colors, so give this a try until you do.

Nobody has suggested a solution that I can see? I don't see any responses to my question except for asking if I got a satisfactory answer?? Where's the answer?

Hi there,

 

Thanks for getting back to us. It was previously suggested by Jeran that you do another reset on your Chromecast. If that step doesn't work, please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
