Chromecast updated a couple of months ago and now it displays video controls on screen when connected on youtube. I have been able to ignore most of these until I ran into videos tagged with an age restriction. A ton of sports content is tagged this way. Now when I run into a restricted video it asks me to respond if i would like to continue on screen, but i have no way of interacting with the on screen prompts when casting youtube from my phone. If i end the cast i can watch just fine, but I did not buy a chromecast so I could watch on my phone. Any help appreciated. Btw they force me to select which chromecast i have to post my question. I have no idea. It is a black hockey puck that feeds to an hdmi port and has a direct lan line connection to my router on its power cable.

Hey there Hhhhh,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to disable those controls? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know they can block the screen sometimes. Here is how to disable those:
Open YouTube > go to Settings > go to Accessibility, toggle on Accessibility player, and select Hide player controls.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
