I hooked up my Chromecast Ultra to my TV, but get no sound. Good reason - I use a Bose Lifestyle 135 Speaker Array for my sound! So, I tried plugging my Chromecast into my Bose, but it’s not even recognized.
I guess I’m picky - I’d like to enjoy casting, but with audio AND video! Anyone got an answer?
Thanks.

Hey there BassoII,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that soundbar issue? For sure, you'd want to plug in the Chromecast into the HDMI port of the TV itself. Check out this quick start guide for Chromecast to see the basic setup. As for the soundbar, that should be something between the TV and soundbar itself, I'd recommend you check out Bose support for that setup.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

Thanks for the response. No, I still have no sound via the Bose system. I do have the Chromecast plugged into the TV. I’ve also sent a help request to Bose. Thanks again.

Hey there Bassoll,
I'm sorry about the slow response time on this thread, but I talked with the engineering department about this issue, and it does seem this issue is better resolved with the device manufacturer (Bose). It seems like you can have multiple setups, such as connecting straight to the soundbar or connecting it to the control console of the Bose speaker array system. Of course, the most optimal setup is to have your Chromecast plugged in to your TV, then the TV plugged in via optical cable to your soundbar's Audio In port.
I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help, but if you had any other questions or concerns, I'd be happy to address them.
Best regards,
Jeran
