I bought a Chromecast remote as a second remote. Help chat tells me a 2nd remote won't connect.

Should I return the remote?

If my current remote breaks or vanishes can I connect this second remote?  If so, How?

You can only have one remote paired at a time.

But, yes, if your current remote breaks or is lost, you can go through the setup steps and pair your new remote in place of your old remote.
