I can’t do a factory reset to switch to my new WiFi

Ann568

I got new WiFi. I attempted to connect my chromecast to the new WiFi. I was told I need to do a factory reset on my chromecast to set it up with my new WiFi. Online it says to do a factory reset I need to touch and hold the devices title. Then I can click on device information and forget this network. But my device no longer shows on my google home. So there’s nothing to click and hold down on. I tried to set up a new device and it showed up but I can’t connect to it. Nothing happens when I click and hold  on its name in the add a new device screen. How can I connect my chromecast to my new WiFi if I can’t factory reset it?

Is this Help topic of any use?  (We don't have a Chromecast device.)
