I cant seem to get my chromecast with google TV 4k remote to connect to my LG monitor

Hey can anyone help!

I have an LG Ultrafine 32UN880-B Monitor that I use with my imac mini but I also have bought a chromcast with google tv for it as it has an HDMI output and I thought I'd use it as a TV as well.

Only issue is I cant seem to get the remote to control the monitor i.e the volume or turning the screen on and off.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

The settings to control volume, power, and input are designed for TVs, not PC monitors. In the settings, you'll see it asks you to select the TV manufacturer. You can by all means try these settings with a bit of trial and error, but it's likely you won't find one that works with a monitor, because it's not designed to do that.
