Intermittent sound loss

Recently bought new chromecast, the sound is cutting out every 5-10 minues for a few seconds. Using the headphone output from tv to aux stereo receiver. It is often combined with a white +flash+ whereafter sounds cuts out, This is the case for all apps, both video and music.

 

what causes this fault? Is there a solution?

Quick questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Could you please try to remove your stereo receiver and check if the same issue will persist? Please also try the steps below:

 

  1. Use a different HDMI device on the same HDMI input and check if audio works.
  2. Use a different HDMI input.
  3. Reboot your Chromecast.
  4. Reboot your stereo receiver
  5. Try to plug in the stereo receiver on a different output on your TV.
  6. Plug in the Chromecast into a different TV screen if one is available.
  7. Reset your Chromecast.
