Issue with voice recognition for different family members

Hello everyone, I am facing a strange issue with voice recognition on my Chromecast 4 and I was wondering if anyone has faced a similar problem.

I have been trying to make the Chromecast/Google TV respond to voice commands, using both my mobile Google Home app and the Google Nest Mini. The problem is that, for some commands, it works perfectly, but some of them are just ignored for no reason (no error or anything).

The bug gets worse when adding family members to the house. For instance, Google recognizes my voice when I ask to OPEN an app on the Chromecast (e.g. open Netflix), but it just ignores me when I ask to CLOSE them. However, when another family member (also registered in the house) gives the commands to OPEN an app, it ignores the command, but if they ask to CLOSE the same app, it works perfectly.

In summary, I am the only person in the house able to ask to open an app, but I can't close them. And I have a family member able to close the apps but not able to open them. We are both registered in the Google Home application and we already did the Voice Match procedure (more than once, by the way). We also tried with different languages and we tried to type the commands on the Google Home app instead of speaking, but no success so far.

We have also done a factory reset to both Google Nest Mini and the Chromecast, but it didn't work as well 😞

PS: If we use the voice button on the Chromecast remote control, the device recognizes the command and works perfectly for both of our voices.

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Please try to remove all the voice match and the members added to your home and re add them. You might also want to reinstall the Google Home app.
