MY Chromecast remote LED won't turn off and it won't respond

MY Chromecast remote LED won't turn off and it won't respond ( I have tried multiple times to reset it and removed the batteries many times) the LED wont turn off and is stuck at a solid white. I have left it for 3 days (because people said to leave it in case it needed a firmware update) but It still doesn't work.

Yes I just disconnected the remote and paired it again
