Hi RobertoZS,

Sorry for the late response do you still need help with this issue? If yes, please provide the answers to the questions listed below so we can narrow down the issue:

  1. Are you getting a message ”No devices found” when casting from Chrome browser/Edge?

  2. What is the make and model of the device you used to cast?

  3. What Operating System (OS) do you use?

  4. Can you cast videos directly from an app using a mobile phone?

  5. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Jennifer

1.Are you getting a message ”No devices found” when casting from Chrome browser/Edge?

R: Yes

2.What is the make and model of the device you used to cast?

R. ChromeCast Generation 2

3.What Operating System (OS) do you use?

R. Windows 10 Pro

4.Can you cast videos directly from an app using a mobile phone?

R. Yes, this action is really possible.

5.What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

The "cast Guide" function in the Edge browser can no longer find the ChromeCast device that is installed on the tv communicating with the PC via internet connection/via wifi.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Chromecast device.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Edge browser;
I turned the router off and on again.
I disabled and re-enabled the windows firewall, putting the Edge functions of Chrome browsers without restriction, all actions, no sucess at moment.

Hey there RobertoZS,

I know this response is long overdue, but if you are still experiencing that same error, go ahead and give these steps a try:

  1. If you have a dual-band router, Access Point (AP) isolation must be disabled. Other devices such as laptops or computers can use the 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz band will maximize performance when using the Cast extension to cast a tab.
  2. To reduce network congestion for both networks, connect the other devices unrelated to Chromecast, such as laptops, to the 5 GHz network and leave the Chromecast connected to the 2.4 GHz network.
  3. Make sure your antivirus is not blocking the connection between devices.
  4. If the steps above do not work, see if the casting function works on Google Canary. You'll need to install Google Canary, open it, and install the Cast extension.

Let me know if those steps help at all, I look forward to your response!

Best regards,

Jeran
