Recently my Chromecast stopped playing audio from my tv. When I connect to a Bluetooth device I can hear audio. I have already tried playing with the audio settings in Chromecast, rebooted the device and factory reset. During the factory reset I noticed while setting up the remote volume control, I didn’t hear any music from the tv at this point. I’m able to control the volume with remote but there is no audible noise coming from the tv.
Additionally, when I open the google home app I noticed the volume slide is stuck at 0%. Whenever I move the slider up, it just drops back down to 0%.

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is having trouble playing audio from your TV's speakers. These kinds of issues can be tricky, so I'd be happy to help out. The first thing to check would be your TV's settings, double-check to make sure there is are no settings that could be affecting the sound. Then, I would try plugging in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port. Finally, if the problems persists, try plugging the Chromecast into a different TV to see if the sound comes from another TV's speakers. That way, we can isolate the problem to either the Chromecast or the TV.
