No audio from Youtube videos when casting. All other apps are working fine.

Note that this exact same issue was reported a couple of years ago with seemingly no resolution. 

• Casting YouTube to Chromecase Ultra (the one that came with Stadia) results in video but no audio. This is true whether I'm casting from my Pixel 7 or my desktop via Chrome.
  • Interestingly, the audio started and played for maybe a second before cutting out completely. Restarting all involved devices (phone, desktop, chromecast) did not resolve the issue or even get that split second of audio to play again.
    
    
• This appears to only be true when casting to the Chromecast. I have a Smart TV that has the YouTube app. If I instead select the TV as the casting target, rather than the Chromecast, the YouTube video will play via the TVs YouTube app without issue. I can continue to control the video via my phone or desktop (depending on which initiated the Cast) or the TV remote. 
  
  
• As noted in that other post as well, all other apps that can cast work normally (Hulu, Disney+, etc).
• As noted in that other post as well, if I do a Screen Cast from my phone, all audio will work from all sources, including YouTube if I choose to open that app.

Side Note: While I know this has nothing to do with this particular problem Google's products have been degrading in quality lately. I don't necessarily mean NEW products either, existing ones that we've been using for years like Chromecast or Google Assistant suddenly stop correctly doing things they'd been doing for years like Chromecast properly playing audio or Assistant performing simple tasks like "turn the TV on" (where the resonse multiple times has been "Sorry but I don't know what device to play that on" or "Sorry but I can't do that yet" even when it's done it before.

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues casting YouTube to your Chromecast Ultra.  Let's go ahead and reset your device by holding down the button on the side of your Chromecast Ultra. The LED should begin to blink orange. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast Ultra should then restart.
