Hey guys,
Having an issue with my Chromecast in which one day the sound just stopped working.
Have tried iOS, Android, Chrome Browser and a Windows Laptop.
Have restarted the Chromecast via removing the power and re-applying it.
TV's HDMI ports are playing sound with no issue.
Definitely isolated the issue to the Chromecast, and I've no idea what could have caused it?
Anyone experienced this before, any ideas?

Hey Kimy,
I fixed it.
Drop the solution here.
Go in to Google Chrome App - Audio Settings:
Select "Stereo" and nothing but Stereo.
Wait 5-10 seconds.
Unplug the Chromecast to power it off.
Plug it back in.
Ensure your TV is set to PCM sound.
Your sound should have returned.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Since you’ve already tried different troubleshooting steps but still failed, I suggest you do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch. If it persists, isolate it by moving your Chromecast device to another TV. Let us know how it goes.
