Phone casting to random local device

I have google home on my samsung s23 ultra, I don't use the Cast function as I don't have a TV. However, my brother has a smart tv and recently out of nowhere my phone will suddenly start casting to his TV. I don't have it saved it is still listed as just a local device but can't seem to stop it from casting until after it has happened. Often times it isn't connected but I don't get notifications when it is so this could be happening at any time and I have no idea why or how to stop it preemptively. This is also causing my devices to go a bit wild as my wireless headphones will randomly start playing when the cast starts so if I am wearing them that's the first I know about it.

Hi AB4459,
 

Thanks for posting.

 

If you are using the same WiFi network as your brother, smart devices will show under local devices in the Google Home app. I suggest that you modify Cast media control notifications on your phone.

Unfortunately yes I am, I've taken it as far now I have just deleted the Google home app to try and stop it from happening. I don't know if it will work but it's the last thing I can think of.
