Problems with itvX

Hi

 

Is,anyone else having issues with itvX, but only on the newest 2022 Google Chromecast (with remote) ?

 

On both of my 2022 Chromecasts itvX is  unable to find programmes I _know_ are avai as they will play and cast from my 3rd generation Chromecasts, and are available. Others, such as A Touch of Frost play fine using the Chromecast. 

 

For some reason both these newer devices refused to install via the Google Home App and I had to use the Chromecast remote instead.

I am having same issue, but only from recommendations. From 8nside the itv app the same show can be watched

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the delay in response. I just want to confirm: are you having issues with this ITVX that is installed on your Chromecast with Google TV? Or are you having issues casting it despite it casting perfectly on an older version of Chromecast? If it’s not an issue when it comes to casting on both versions, then it could be related to the installed apps. Try to troubleshoot the app by clearing the cache and data. You can also reinstall the app. If it persists, try to disconnect your Chromecast device from your home Wi-Fi and connect it to your smartphone’s mobile hotspot using the remote. If it still fails, you may need to contact ITVX support for a possible coding or file format conversion.
