Ready to castt

I've tried all the suggestions and all of a sudden my tv keeps saying "ready to cast" but doesn't

I am having the exact problem; just started a few days ago out of nowhere.  I see the cast icon, press it on my phone, then on my TV is gets stuck saying 'Ready to cast.'

exactly! So I swapped the two that I have (switched each TV) They worked for 2 days, then I got the same thing on the screen "ready to cast" But it doesn't .. ARGH

Same problem. Interestingly, when I go to sources, I can cast "desktop", but not "tab"

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience on this! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What type of Chromecast do you have?
  • What is the firmware version of the Chromecast?
  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
  • Does this same casting issue occur happen across multiple devices and apps?
