My remote stops working with the cast, it's like it sleeps and I can't get it to wake and start working the cast unless I unplug the cast and plug it in and after reboot the remote will work again.
Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about that. What type of Chromecast with Google TV do you have, is that the 4K or HD version? Please replace the batteries on your Chromecast Voice Remote and plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV. If the issue persists, reset the Chromecast dongle and Voice Remote.
