Routine not correctly executing

I have a morning routine that is “play CNBC from YouTube tv on bedroom tv”. I’ve had this routine a long time and it has always worked with a google nest mini and a chromecast. I got a google TV instead of chromecast and readjusted names in the app. When the routine play, the tv just turns on to the home screen. However if I say the exact words to the assistant it works. Seems to be a google TV issue. Thoughts?

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router. Could you try creating a custom routine instead to check if you'll get the same result? Also, rebooting your devices and reinstalling your Google Home app might help too.

Yes it is still not working. The issue has been isolated to the google TV. It works on other chromecasts, but not the google tv.

Thanks for the update. To make sure, are you using the same Google Account with your Chromecast with Google TV as your Nest Mini? Could you try resetting your Chromecast to see if that helps?

No I tried the reset and I am still having trouble. It seems to be the google TV that’s the problem still.
