Set screen time on phone for Chromecast with google tv

I'm so disappointed that I can't use parental controls on the Familylink app on my phone to control Chromecast. Super annoying.

You can control screen time using kids profiles on Chromecast with Google TV.

Use parental controls on Google TV - Chromecast Help

Once you've added a kids profile:

  1. From the Google TV home screen, select the Settings cog and then Accounts & Sign In.
  2. Select your kid’s profile and then Screen time and then Daily limit.
  3. Select the days you’d like to schedule a daily limit.
  4. Choose how many hours your kid can watch TV each day.
  5. You can set limits in intervals of 15 minutes, up to 8 hours.

I appreciate that I can apply controls on google tv itself, but I can't do this remotely using the FamilyLink app on my phone in the same way that I can for my kids' tablets which is very frustrating.
