Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that you're having an issue casting on your Chromecast. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: Has there been any changes on the router settings? What's the LED light status in your Chromecast? How far are you from the TV when you try to cast?

Try these steps:

  1. Check if the Chromecast firmware is updated.
  2. Make sure the apps are updated.
  3. Check that the casting device (Mobile phone or computer) is updated.
  4. Check proximity of TV to casting device (phone, tablet, or computer), and Wi-Fi router.
  5. Reboot the Chromecast, casting device, and router.
  6. Disconnect and reconnect the casting device from the Wi-Fi network.
  7. Try to plug the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  8. Plug the Chromecast to a different TV screen (If applicable)
  9. Factory reset your Chromecast.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Nuku,

I'm sorry for the late response. Please try the additional steps listed below:

  1. Shut down the TV completely (power off and disconnect the power cord from the power outlet).
  2. Disconnect the Chromecast from the HDMI port. If the Chromecast is plugged into the power outlet, unplug it.
  3. Power on the TV and reconnect the power source to the Chromecast device. Don't attach the Chromecast into the TV HDMI port.
  4. Wait 30 seconds and plug the Chromecast device into the HDMI port on the TV.
  5. Change the TV input to the same HDMI input as the Chromecast.

If the same issue persists, please fill out this form and let me know once you are done.

Thanks,

Jennifer

It's me again. I want to make sure you're all good — how did the steps go? If that doesn't resolve the issue, were you able to fill out the form?

Thanks,
