I have a new last year tcl and for months it will not connect to Google home or cast. Every time I try it tells me it needs updating but tcl says I’m up to date. Please can someone help is this a firmware thing? And how do I solve it? Thank you.

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear that your TLC TV won't play nicely with Google Home, so I'd be happy to help out. I would double-check that your Google Home app is up-to-date, and then let me know what cast firmware version your TV is, so we can see if that is up-to-date.
