This isn't a web browser issue, but an app issue on TV's I've been using NordVPN app and the MLB app on our smart TV’s for a few weeks now and the connections both work fine (been able to watch the game I want to) However it seems that once I initially connect and am watching, IF I log out of the VPN to go back to regular TV programing for a while, and then try to log back in to the VPN/MLB app I get the blackout message on the MLB app. Didn't do anything different except log back in and connect. I think it has something to do with MLB recognizing the IP address after the initial connection and blocking the content. Is there a way to reset the Chromecast when that happens to clear cache or something? As I said, both apps work fine the first connection I make, just looking for a work around when this happens and I know the NordVPN is working correctly. Thanks!

Hi phuckleb,
Thanks for posting. Chromecast devices don't support the use of VPN's. It may previously work, however it is still recommended to be connected to a home WiFi network where the VPN setting is disabled in the Wi-Fi router for you to be able to use it again.

Hey there phuckleb,
That is understandable, I also use a VPN and every time I want to cast anything, I have to disable the VPN first. However, I sometimes forget to do so, then get confused why the casting isn't working! VPNs can sometimes be tedious...
In the meantime, did you have any other questions or concerns, or should I go ahead and lock up the thread?
