While are waiting to get a replacement television through the warranty, we are using a very old Vizio TV and our chromecast. Everything works great when casting all of the apps, except for Hulu.
Whenever the Hulu app is casted to the tv, the volume uncontrollably goes up and down on its own, with no obvious reason why. I have trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I don’t see any type of auto volume leveling setting on the TV or the chromecast. Just the regular choices for surround sound and tru volume.
Is it something I missing on the Chromecast? Again - the issue only occurs with the Hulu app. Everything else we have casted so far - Peacock, Netflix, Disney+, Spotify - the volume is fine. It is driving me nuts as there are several shows that you can only watch on Hulu.
(Previously casting Hulu through our smart tv)
Please forgive my ignorance! I know that I have a second or third generation Chromecast; here is the Cast Firmware Version: 1.56.275994

Hi! I’m having the same issues with Hulu, did you find a fix?

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue when casting from the Hulu app. Could you please reinstall the Hulu app and test if there will be an improvement? Clearing the cache and data on the Hulu app and rebooting your phone might also help.
If the same issue persists and this is only happening with the Hulu app, please reach out to the app developer for additional help.
Best,
Jennifer
