We have an annoying pop up asking for a pairing key

We have been experiencing a continuous pop up on our LG tv asking for a pairing key. How do we make this stop?? It shows a rendering of a phone next to a tv and has the tv model number

Open the Google TV app on your phone and punch in the four numbers on your screen. Simple as that. In case you aren't aware that is how you control Android TV with your phone. Am I missing something here or what? If so please elaborate.

Hi folks,

Thanks for helping out, Juelz.

@ironchef, let us know if you have other questions and concerns. We're here to help.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Still the same question. No one in this house has the chromecast app on any device that I can find. To the presumptuous individual who suggested “ just put in the pairing key” how is this done? If I had the app, don’t you think? I would have. We do not wish to connect phones and tablets with the tv !!! The tv (LG) came with chromecast built in

Don’t have the google tv app either for the same reason
