See subject. From all user-facing appearances, these apps are just useless waste space. My CCwGTV has 0B available. These may not even be in a partition that counts, but they are useless and heading for Google orphan status. I have no content at Google associated with either. What happens if I uninstall them from my CCwGTV?

If you don't use them, nothing happens. They're not essential apps.

Since I don't have any Google Play Store content associated with either, I don't have a need to use them. Since they don't show up in the Apps menu, I don't have a clue how I would use them if I wanted to.

I haven't had a chance to test this to see if a) it breaks anything obvious, or b) it actually recovers any memory usable for apps I install rather than the OOBE defaults.
It's still a mystery to me why these are even there since there doesn't seem to be any way to start them besides going into Play Store Apps--which is pretty well hidden from "normal users".

Hey there DWatson,
With Google TV running on Android, it may be that apps and games downloaded onto Google TV involve those two apps in some way to make it easier for developers to adapt mobile apps to Google TV apps. If you were to remove those two apps, it may affect the functionality of other apps, depending on how they were developed. However, I cannot say for certain since I am not a Google TV developer.
If you were to remove those apps, and it made the Chromecast device or other apps act strangely, you should be able to factory reset the Chromecast to resolve that.
Best regards,
Jeran
