A few days ago I received a new router from Verizon. It was unexpected because the old one worked just fine. But I was curious and I hooked it up. It did not work properly and it is now back in the box to go back to Verizon.
Maybe it is just a coincidence but now the Chromecast cannot maintain a WiFi connect. It connects, says that the signal is strong, and then disconnects, over and over again. I've tried rebooting the Chromecast, my old router, and even the TV. I've had the Chromecast forget the network and start over. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Hey MitchOo,
Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.
A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast (solid or blinking)? How far is it from the Wi-Fi router? Please try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
If the issue persists, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi, I did try a factory reset but it did not fix the problem. I had already bought a new Chromecast before I saw your response. Thanks for trying to help.
