I have an HP Spectre laptop and am thinking of purchasing and: Sceptre 4K IPS 27" 3840 x 2160 UHD Monitor up to 70Hz DisplayPort HDMI 99% sRGB Build-in Speakers, Black 2021 (U275W-UPT) More details at https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-Monitor-DisplayPort-Speakers-U275W-UPT/dp/B098HQ8YRX/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_...
I'm no expert, and so I cannot determine from the specs of the monitor if I could use a Chromecast to wirelessly link and view my laptop screen on the monitor. Can you tell me if the specs of the Sceptre will support Chomecast?

All modern TVs support connecting a Chromecast device to them. You just need an HDMI port to plug into.
You can cast from your laptop using the Chrome browser:

But, one thing you need to know. You HAVE to have a compatible phone or tablet that can run the Google Home app to setup your Chromecast device. You CANNOT use a computer to do the setup.
You also need a WiFi network with full internet access to run a Chromecast device.

Thank you Big Guy. My concern was that the monitor is not a TV: just an external monitor for my laptop. But it does have three HDMI ports, so that should do the trick, right? And I use Google Home on my Android phone already for my wi-fi, so that should not be a problem. Many thanks!
