YouTube Premium menu on both our Chromecast and Roku suddenly only shows "Search" and "Home" choices

Sometime this evening, when we open the YouTube Premium app on Chromecast (and also our other TV w/Roku), we only see YouTube app menu choices for "Search" and "home" - prior to this we saw choices for our favorite subscribed channels, YouTube music, movies we've purchased from Google, etc. when opening the YouTube app. 

We tried resetting the app, changing our Google passwords, et al. But, we only get the "search" and "Home" button choices. Everything looks the same on our laptops, so we're baffled and frustrated with the missing menu choices. What happened?

As of 11:00 am PDT 10/07/2022 this issue was resolved, presumably by an update.

It is the same for me on roku. Super annoying. Let me know if you know a fix.

Apparently there's a rumor floating around on Twitter that Google/YouTube updated the YouTube apps for Roku and Chromecast on October 05, 2022 that is the culprit for the "bug" - as of this morning (10/07/22) it still isn't fixed. Maybe someone from YouTube can either confirm or deny that status of the annoyance.
