This week, we had to replace our Wi-Fi router in an emergency and start a whole new home network. But I cannot figure out how to connect my Chromecast since I have no access to the original network. I tried the factory reset but the Google Home app does not detect the Chromecast and then I hit a brick wall

Go to your wifi settings on your phone and find your Chromecast device there.
Go back to Google Home connect there. It will then prompt you to connect your device to your home wifi.

Hey there badbird,
We are happy to help out with any Chromecast issues you are having, are you having issues changing the Wi-Fi Network on your Chromecast? Have you already attempted a factory reset, or attempted to forget the network via the Google Home app?
I look forward to your response!
Best regards,
Jeran
