Chromecast audio solid orange. Tried resetting it by holding down button but it does nothing. Tried holding down button while plugging it is and still same results. Staying orange.
Any suggestions to what else to try?

The only thing left is to try a different power-cord and/or power block.
If you still get a red-light and can't reset after that... it sounds like your Audio has finally failed.
Google hasn't sold those devices in over 3 years. You might be able to find one used on-line. Sadly, Google doesn't have another device that does the same thing for audio systems.

Thanks, was hoping there would be a way to save it, but unfortunately I think you are right. I already tried 3 different cords and power source but still no dice...

My condolences. I'm living in fear of the day one of my four Audios stops working.
Luckily, I have ONE spare that I picked up when a store was closing them out.

Hi,
I was hoping there may be any other suggestions, maybe a way of flashing the chromecast to factory restore it by chance?

Hey there Eee,
Byteguy is right that the device may be out of commission, but we can try a couple of things. You mentioned that the LED light is solid orange, according to the article, it says "There may be an error with your device. Perform a reboot on your device by unplugging it from the power source, waiting about 1 minute, and then plugging it back in. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try a factory reset."
You mentioned that you were unable to factory resting by pressing the button on the device, have you tried factory resetting from the Google Home app? Here is the instructions on how to do so:
