iPhone facebook app no support chromecast anymore

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? Are there any other apps that you won't be able to cast to aside from the Facebook app? What steps have you taken? As for the Facebook app, not all contents from that app can be cast. Since it uses different source materials, some contents are not cast-enabled. Check the contents, and from there, you’ll know if it can be cast, especially if the cast icon appears on the actual content (videos, short clips, etc.). I hope this clarifies the confusion. I have same issue.  On weekly basis I cast from iPhone FB to Chromecast a live concert.  A couple weeks ago the casting icon stopped appearing.  I am able to cast other content (YouTube for example) from iPhone.  Also, I am able to cast to Chromecast from iPad the same weekly FB live concert.  So why did it stop working from iPhone?

Thanks for the details. I’m glad that you pointed it out. Based on your description, it seems that your Chromecast is working as intended. The Chromecast device can’t differentiate between your iPad or iPhone; it’s a slave device that will accept casting commands from these devices. Since the issue is isolated to the Facebook App on your iPhone, try to delete and reinstall the app. Also, make sure that your iPhone is up-to-date, and restarting it most of the time helps. Let us know how it goes.

I have done all these things to no avail.  Still unable to cast to Chromecast from FB on my iPhone.  I can cast YouTube from iPhone but not FB.  I can cast FB from my iPad though.  So what is the deal with FB on my iPhone to Chromecast????
