Can’t get Entry Key

Just installed nest learning thermostat 3rd Gen

 

installation went fine connected to my Wi-Fi, but I can’t get an  entry key to connect to app  always says problem connecting to server 

I reset WiFi-nest   Same result   Any ideas

I appreciate that you've already tried a Wi-Fi reset—no worries, I can definitely help you get your thermostat linked to the Nest app!

To better investigate this situation, I’d like to ask for a few details:

  • Since the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) has the entry key and QR code printed on the back of the display, can you confirm if you tried adding the device using either of those options?
  • When you mentioned resetting the Wi-Fi, did you perform that reset directly on the thermostat’s display by selecting Settings > Reset > Account Connection or Network?
  • Could you share a picture of the error appearing on your display? This will help me better understand what the thermostat is showing.
