I have received the new update of the Google Home App. There are many new features but still no way to control Fan speeds in the app. Below is my post from August 2022 for your consideration, again. This is not an on off situation as you have addressed with dimmable lights. This is an identical situation which fails to be addressed. Please read my previous post, again, detailed below.
From August 2022:
The ability to adjust fan speeds the same way dimmable lights are controlled is a must have feature in Google Home. I have numerous lights and ceiling fans in my home which I control through the Google Home app and assistant. Asking assistant to change a fan speed works, but I don't like always hollering at Google to set a fan speed and would like the ability to change it from the app. Currently if I want to change the fan speed without Google assistant I need to use the manufacturers app which breaks some of the cohesiveness I have in Google Home. I just figure if assistant knows what to do when I ask to change the fan speed the app should be able to perform the task as well. Thanks for your time.

I also would like to see speed control for fans in the app. I don’t understand why this is such a long term issue. If a device has options of high, medium, and low that I can control with my voice then I should be able to control them from the app as voice is not always an option (no speaker in room or other people sleeping).

Hello everyone,
I understand how this feature can be useful when using the Google Home app. However, the actions that can be taken in Google Home for third-party Google Assistant devices differ depending on how the manufacturer integrates their device. But we appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve, and we'll take this as feedback.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex, I think I need to reiterate that telling Google assistant speaker to set the fan speed to high, medium or low works. It would be nice if the app could do the same. Similarly to how the dimmer function works. The voice assistant is able to adjust 3rd party devices, just fine.

I also need to stress that the device can clearly be controlled by Google assistant in the manner we are requesting. It works fine by voice. This is NOT a case of the manufacturer not integrating the device properly. This is a failing of the Google home app. The device exposes high medium and low options that assistant can clearly use properly. Myself and others are only asking for feature parity between voice control and app control not asking for features to be added to assistant in general. This level of control already exists on the server side at Google. We just need the app to support the same options that voice commands support.

Hi there,
I totally understand that it's a good feature to use with the Google Home app, but the feature is not available. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it. Let us know if you have other questions or concerns I can help.
Kind regards,
Alex
