Chromecast remote disconnecting

So I bought my Chromecast about a month ago and everything seemed to be working fine but a few days ago I've encountered an issues with the remote that keeps persisting. Whenever my TV goes into ambient mode my remote disconnects and will not reconnect no matter what I do (I've tried resetting it, replacing batteries, reconnecting using my phone as a remote or pressing the button on the Chromecast itself, ECT.) the ONLY way I can get it to reconnect is to have my Chromecast forget it then pull the plug on it and start it back up and reconnecting it using my phone. I don't really know what else to do I've tried pretty much everything.
