Hello. I have a Chromecast that is plugged into the HDMI and wall power socket.
i went through the setup process to connect it to my Google Home on my phone using my GoogleAccountF. I got up to the wi-fi setup on my TV and it said it was successful. But on my phone it said the wifi setup was not successful.
When i go add device on Google Home on my phone it does not detect my Chromecast. But on my TV, it appears my Chromecast is connected cos it shows the rotating wallpaper and time.
I have tried to unlink the Chromecast (to restart the connection process) but it is not showing up as a device on my Google account. Thanks
Edit: my log in history does not show that the Chromecast has logged into my account

Hi Sauchee,
Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.
A few questions: What's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or blinking white light)? What type of Chromecast device do you have? What is the make and model of your mobile phone?
Please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
For additional steps, please visit this support website article and let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
jennifer
