Why does the device serial number "Chromecast with Google TV" have a different character on the box and on the device

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. 

The serial number on the box is for the bundle device — Chromecast dongle, and the Chromecast Voice remote. If there’s an instance where your Chromecast dongle needs to be replaced, that’s when the serial number on the actual device will be used.
