Connecting other apps to Home

I want to connect my Google Home account to my Tado and Smartthings apps but getting the same error (404) when trying to connect one of them. I tried clearing the cache, removing and reinstalling  all three apps but nothing worked. I keep getting the 404 error with the message that the url on the server could not be found

Hi DKOnline,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that you're getting the error 404 "the URL on the server could not be found" when you try to connect your Tado and SmartThings accounts to the Google Home app. I appreciate you taking the time to try some troubleshooting steps. No worries, I can definitely help you with this!

To continue investigating this situation, I'd like to ask for the following information:

  • Is this the first time that you're trying to link these apps to the Google Home app?
  • Have you tried to link the accounts using a different phone or tablet?
  • Are you using an Android or iOS operating system?
  • Do you mind sharing the versions for the Google Home app, SmartThings, and Tado app?
  • Could you describe the exact steps you take to link each app to the Google Home app?

In the meantime, I'd suggest the following steps:

  • Confirm that your mobile device's operating system has the latest version.
  • Perform a reboot on your router. This ensures your home network is running smoothly and correctly communicating with the Google and partner servers.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer

Thanks for the response and the different solutions.
I made the connection work using a other phone. The only difference between the two was the version of Home. My phones versions was 4.2.51.1 the other was 4.3.56.2
