Google mini connection

  • I have a Google mini from the first release with an orange bottom. I bought my device used. Now I can't reset it to factory settings. I pressed the button on the bottom of the device and held it for 15 seconds, and I heard a signal that the reset had occurred, but it didn't actually happen. The Google home app was recently updated, and the app's language matches the language of my phone. The app says that the device has been used by someone and requires a reset. This happens every time I try to reset it. Please help me connect my device.

Hi @VITALY1

If the standard reset steps aren't working for you, try these steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your speaker, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until all 4 LED lights on top illuminate.
  2. Repeat step 1 ten more times (so a total of 11 times).
  3. After plugging your speaker back in the final time, you'll need to wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce "Welcome to Google Home. To get started, download the Google Home app on a phone or tablet" to let you know that it’s ready for setup.
