How do you connect your nest doorbell to the Nest speaker?

I, too, have spent countless, infuriating hours trying to accomplish this—  16 this week with Google, who doesn’t even know!  What a waste of money!  A doorbell that doesn’t ring in the house? Isn’t that the point?  Help, please!

Your doorbell and speaker have to be in the same Google Nest "home/structure".
