Hi, I was wondering is anyone knew what motion sensors are compatible with routines?
I bought a nest camera, only to find out that it can't trigger anything. Which isn't very helpful as a security device.
So now I was looking into motion sensors. It seems like the hue one would work, and maybe the eve as that works with matter. But then I can't find any definitive information on it, and it just seems super sketchy.
Does anyone know?
Thanks!

Ah amazing, thank you Kacperhq. Out of interest, do you know if it works on its own without the bridge?

Hue can use matter only when connected to hue bridge. Eve motion sensor should connect directly using matter as far as I know

Ah I see. Thank you! Is there any actual info from google on this? They seem to say you can do it, but then there's no actual information on what's compatible.

And also just to confirm, if I wanted a light and a song to play when the sensor detected motion, that would work?

Yes it's possible.

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting in the community and apologies for the late response.
@Kacperhq, thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.
@whatuk, @xtimex, to learn more about matter, you can check this article. I'll consider this thread as complete and will close it after 24 hours. If you have other questions feel free to create a new thread.
Best,
Nikki

I have TUYA sensors for door and motion, the application Google Home detects them, but cannot use them as a trigger under automation👎

Ah really. Yeah maybe that's the "matter" thing. I think I'll wait until eve release the matter updated versions.
