Google Home Displays Offline Outlets not appearing in Smart Life

gainebor

Hi.

So I have 2 devices (smart outlets) currently linked to my Smart Life app and I integrated it to my Google Home. Whenever I link my Smart Life account to my Google Home App it shows 4 devices (smart outlets) 2 of which I cant delete and appears offline. But when I look at my Smart Life there are only 2 devices there. But in Google Home says I have 4 registered devices in my Smart Life. How do I delete the 2 devices? I have tried deleting them in both Home and Smart Life to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

Hi gainebor,

Thanks for posting in the community. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: what other devices do you have that are linked through your Google Home app? Normally, these devices that you see on the app are duplicate devices that disappear once an update is sent over the air. When did it start to appear?

Hi gainebor,

Thanks for the information. You can try to create another home structure, then move those devices to the new structure. Once moved, you can delete the old structure. Just make sure you don't have any other devices that have subscriptions before moving it. Let me know how it goes.

I created a new home setup. Move the old devices to the new home. But when I deleted the old home, the 2 linked devices also transferred to the new home

Hi gainebor,

Thanks for taking those steps. Let's try another approach. Create a new structure, then move the duplicate devices to that home structure, then delete it after. Keep me posted.

What worked was I created a new Home and named it "Delete" and moved the devices there. Now I dont see them anymore in my "Home Address". Drawback is I have 2 homes 🙂

Hi gainebor,

We appreciate your effort on trying the steps. Is it working good so far?

Best,

Princess

Right now I have "2" homes . renamed the other home as "for deletion". I transferred all the non working devices there. I don't see them anymore in my "Main Home".

Whenever I delete the "for deletion" home the devices revert back to my "Main Home".  For now this would suffice. It would be nice though if I can delete the "for deletion" home.

Hi gainebor,

We appreciate your effort. Have you already tried to clear the cache and data of your Home app? Let's go ahead and try that to see of this would make any changes.

Let us know how it goes.

unfortunately this did not work as well. I am not sure if the problem lies in the Smart Life or Home App. I can only see 2  devices in my Smart Life app. The problem starts when I integrate it to Home app. For now I have placed the unrecognized devices into a different "Home". For now this would suffice.

Hi gainebor,

Sorry for this inconvenience. Have you already tried performing a complete reset to your Google Nest display and see if this would make any changes?
