Home and mini speaker resets to factory settings all by itself!

Please help!

Some of my speakers (one Home speaker and two Home Mini speakers) keep resetting back to factory setting all by itself.

Of course I already tried resetting them for new installation and tried using both 5gz and 2.4 go Wifi but they still go back to factory setting.

Hope someone has the solution.

Your Google Home and Home Mini speakers resetting to factory settings could be due to a few issues. Try these steps:

  1. Check Power Supply: Ensure the speakers are plugged into a stable power source with the correct adapter. Low or unstable power can trigger resets.
  2. Wi-Fi Stability: Verify your Wi-Fi network is stable and not dropping. Use 2.4 GHz for better range, and ensure the router is close enough to the speakers.
  3. Firmware Update: In the Google Home app, check if the speakers’ firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can cause glitches.
  4. Account Sync: Ensure your Google account is properly linked and not conflicting with multiple devices or users.
  5. Factory Reset Properly: Perform a manual factory reset (press and hold the reset button for ten-twenty seconds) and set up again via the Google Home app.
  6. Check for Interference: Move speakers away from other electronics that might interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signals.
