Kasa plugs no longer existed unable to delete

I have a kasa plug that no longer exists and does not show up in my Amazon gear but only in the Google home environment. Whenever I try to turn off all my lights using voice commands it always says it can't reach tp-link kesa because of those devices.

Has anyone run into this ever? Tp-link is blaming Google and I can't fault them because it doesn't show up in their app only Google home.

Google home does not allow you to manually delete devices that are linked.

Hey coffii_howz,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on.

Could you check if you can see your TP link account on this page? If so, unlink your account there. Once done, link it back in the Google Home app and use the command, "OK Google, sync my devices". If the issue persists, try creating a new home structure and move your active devices there. Then, you can delete the old home structure after.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,
Alex

I tried that once but I would have to redo everything and I have quite a few things in place.

Most important my wifi

unless google fixes the ability to delete specific devices like amazon does, I don't think this is going away. I think the finger pointing between kasa and google will just drive me to go w/ GE and amazon.

I may create a new kasa account and see if the cache issue is tied to the account and not kasa integration in general.

Feedback sent. I know the alexa home app will allow me to remove individual devices, so its possible. Hopefully the google app team implements a change that allows this.
