1000053973.pnghi community, since a while I have more and more trouble with my Google home Produkts. I have several Google Speakers. My LG WK7 stopped working. My JBL link music has no equalizer anymore. And now all my nest mini won't work properly. Commandos like "turn on ... " Google does not understand straight away. ( Solution I bought a Alexa to control all may smart home Produkts:(

And now all my groups stopped working.. I reset all 5 nest min speakers, checked for updates but when is set up a group they don't show up anymore.

Is Google giving up in the existing product's ? Slowly I have to make a decision cause of my smart home. It feels like smart home is not really in Fokus.

Turning speakers off for a minute sometimes helps reconnecting its Wi-Fi.

Reconnecting the brand app to Google Home app > Settings > Works with Google usually helps with unresponsive devices.

In Alexa you have to disable the Skill and enable it again which resolves the same issue.

Thank you I tried.

Alexa works fine whit all devices.

the issue is with Google.

- "play music in the kitchen"

- "turn on the coffee machine"( when have to tell her 2-4 times and the she understands). But for years it worked great.

Now it's like Google stops the support.. it's getting worse and worse.

If you're speaking from another room to play music in the kitchen (for why, I don't know) "play music ON Kitchen" (Kitchen is the name of the speaker) should work.

Unless the coffee machine was Made by Google it's more likely the manufacturer's link to Google that needs reconnecting.

Our livingroom is open to the kitchen and dining room like a loft. So al the sekers kan here me. So I need to tell them which group should play. ( Just one specific, or all speakers or just one room).

And I don't think Its the smart plug of my coffee machine. Cause Google sometimes just don't understand the command.

>But my main question is: HOW TO SET UP THE GROUP AGAIN

Speaker Group?

Google Home app > Settings > Devices Groups and Rooms (See All)

Hi @Dorian2,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing some trouble with your Google Nest Mini speakers when operating commands, especially with the speaker groups. I understand how frustrating it can be to have to repeat the same command until it works, and I appreciate the information about the troubleshooting you've already performed without success. I'm happy to help.

Since you mentioned that you can't edit your speaker groups from the Google Home app, please follow and confirm the information below:

  1. Check if you have the latest version of the Google Home app.
  2. Check for software updates on your phone.
  3. Uninstall and re-install the Google Home app.
  4. Try to edit the speaker groups from a different phone or tablet.
  5. Create a new home structure and set up the speakers there to check if you get the option to create and edit speaker groups.

If you're able to access the "Speaker groups" option in the app, I recommend that you delete or create a new group by following the steps in the article Create and manage speaker groups in the Google Home app.

@SmartHomeH-TAGS, thank you for your efforts in trying to fix the issue and for providing relevant information.

Keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Anders

Hi Andres,

Thank you for the new method.

That worked at first, but the next day I tried to add the last 3 speakers and a new problem came.

It tells me I have to be in the same wlan. We have just one... And the trouble showing description

With  disabling guest mode on my wifi I checked. All good ..
