Nest app willl not connect (Cameras and heat)

Today the Nest app will not load. Initially neither would the cameras or thermostats load on my W11 desktop but after rebooting my desktop that has now connected. I still can't get the App to connect though.

I've rebooted Iphone to no avail.  I removed and re-installed the app.  The icon just whirls.

Ideas anyone?

Hi,

I thought I was the only one with this problem!

I have had the same problem today. It worked early this morning but nothing now. I have rebooted phone, checked app is updated but it won't log in.

Message says "there was a problem while connecting to Nest service. Try again in a few minutes".  However I've been trying for a while and nothing...??

Just found a Nest service status page and there is an outage on the Nest app. Hopefully it's fixed soon!

Well done you. How/where do you find the nest status page it would help if it was easy to find, I've looked and still haven't found it. Maybe they don't want us to find it easily. Can you provide the link please?

I just typed into Google "Nest service status" and found status.nest.com website. I don't even know if it's an official website. My app started working later but it was down for a good few hours. It's strange there isn't something official from Nest that informs you that there is a problem. This would have saved me a lot of wasted time that I used rebooting different phones, thinking it was my equipment that was faulty!

If only they would tell us surely not beyond the bounds of tech to put a banner up or similar that would help us looking for the cause.  It's all ok here now.

Hi all,

The team is aware of an issue impacting the Nest app and are working to resolve it. We're sorry for the inconvenience and will provide updates as we have them.

Thank you.

Thanks for this,  I (and others)  will be grateful for an explanatory resolution.

Where is the Nest Status page please?

We haven't been affected, but here is the Nest Status Page:

https://status.nest.com/posts/dashboard

Note that because your community username contains the word "N****n", we cannot reply to you while specifying your username; we get a message saying "The message body contains N*****n, which is not permitted in this community."

Thanks

I'll deal with the 'N****n' issue. If the Community Manager can advise how to and why this is pls?

App on ios and ~W11 Cameras all ok as are heat controls. Heating all went to ECO for some reason after initial heating session this morning, we didn't set or request that and we are both at home so no AWAY mode initiated.

Domestic hot water did not heat, now doing a 30 minute boost.

My app still says it can't connect. My actual wall unit now won't connect to my wifi but every other electronic is connected

If the Nest app won’t connect to your cameras or thermostat, try troubleshooting by restarting your devices, checking Wi-Fi connection, and ensuring the app is updated. You may also want to reinstall the app or reset your devices to factory settings. For persistent issues, contact Nest support for further assistance.
