Nest cam on Nest apps vs Now Nest w/lights must be ln Googlehome?? WTH…

I’ve got a few locations setup with nest cameras, on the nest app with the nest subscriptions. Love it for years. So I go and recently buy the Nest w/flood lights which must be installed using Googlehome?? WTH… and will not allow me to place on Nest app. Keeping everything on Nest application was the point. Google really messed up. I’m a very unhappy customer and would immediately seek a refund had I know this and had I not already paid to hang them up. If I’m wrong I hope someone tells me so and makes my day!

Google Nest decided that the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the second half of 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

Hi folks,

I understand where you’re coming from. While you can’t view the 2nd gen Nest cameras in the Nest app — you can view both your 1st gen and 2nd gen cameras in the Google Home app by signing into your account. Let me know if there’s anything else.
